As a teen, Karlyn Pipes looked like she had it all. At the age of 15, she was identified as an Olympic hopeful and was invited to train at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. She turned the opportunity down. Why? Because that same year, Karlyn had her first alcoholic drink. From then on, she preferred the liquid of the bottle over that of a pool. It nearly killed her. At the age of 31, Karlyn sobered up, regained her health and dove back into the sport of swimming. To date, Karlyn has set 233 FINA Masters world records and was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2015. Invite Karlyn to speak at your next event so she can share with you the tools and takeaways she learned on her incredible journey from the depths of addiction to world champion swimmer.
